Religious Education

“Gather the people before Me to hear My words, so that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach them to their children.” Deuteronomy 4:10

That commission is our mission. It is the aim of our Faith Formation program at St. Louise de Marillac to impart to our children the faith we have received and profess, by making sure that in our instruction we make the basic truths of our faith part of their thinking, their being, their living. By presenting the children these truths in a practical way, through scripture, traditional instruction and participation in the liturgy and sacraments, we hope to make our spiritual truths tangible and livable. Composed of a small but vibrant community of faith, St. Louise de Marillac allows for small class sizes, and therefore, more individual attention. It also allows for the opportunity to periodically convene all the classes into one and present special instruction regarding liturgical feasts and special parish celebrations, such as the annual “Las Posadas” on Christmas Eve, group penitential services, monthly youth Masses, and May Crowning. Other celebrations are planned as the occasion arises. Classes meet on Sundays from 9:15am - 10:15am. Kindergarden - 10th Grade Contact Margaret at msilvachairez@gmail.com
